How we worked it out
The other rows are illustrations of common fee structures, built from pricing published by ticketing companies in October 2026. They are not quotes for any one company. To compare properly, put your own provider's fees next to ours, or send us a statement and we'll do it for you.
- Event Master: $0.99 + 5% to the buyer, card processing paid out of it, what's left split half and half with you.
- Flat fee + percent, processing extra: a $1.59 + 3% service fee, with 3% card processing added on top.
- Percentage service fee: a 10% service fee, with about 3.25% + 30¢ processing on top (sales tax on fees left out).
- Lower flat fee + percent, processing extra: a $0.99 + 2.5% service fee, with 3% card processing added on top.
- Venue pays per ticket: about $0.75 a ticket charged to the venue, plus Stripe's 2.9% + 30¢, nothing added for the buyer.
Assumes one ticket per order, the buyer paying the fees, and no sales tax. “From the refund upgrade” is the venue's share across all tickets sold, at the percentage of buyers you set; with other providers it depends on the provider, so ask yours.
